Not sure if this topic was discussed before but looked through the pages and was not able to find it.

I have a Mercedes A180 2017 diesel and looking to top up coolant and while perusing MB coolant specs it says 326 ( ready to use) or 325 ( mixed with  50% by vol of water). Been guided to X stream G 40 or 48 by Halfords but they  did tell me that if the colour wasn't the same not to use it. The colour of coolant in the car is light red and wonder if this matters. Could some advise on the right coolant please.

It's true you shouldn't top up your coolant with a different colour one, if it's the same colour you're good to go.

Hello all i just wanted to further ask in regards to this topic..
I also have a AMG A180d and am in need of coolant ASAP
The only problem is my car literally has ZERO coolant so i am not able to see what colour it was originally!

I am confused as some say it should be green and others say it should be red/pink

What do i go for?

Is your car before or after April 2014?

For the correct coolant see:
