Hi,
How to check the software version FUP2 or FUP3
I spent a lot of time and I can't find it.

Hi, thank you so much,,

Thank you very much for your advice.
Found it in a second.
Unfortunately, I have the FUP2 version, which is the one that confused the navigation
and prevents the use of Speed Cameras.
The next version of FUP3 was supposed to fix this.
And this is what other colleagues from A Forum write.

A month ago, I had my first annual service and asked to update my software version.
The dealer said and it is written in the report that my version is the latest.
Why did he say that when FUP3 already exists

I downloaded on usb -stick from SCDB ( speed cameras ) according to the instructions
(I already did it in the previous car) speed cameras for MBUX
I tried to install it in my car today but no reaction>
Personal POIs window appears dimmed and inactive on the screen.
It does not respond to clicks.
Is this caused by the FUP2
How am I supposed to update the software from FUP2 to FUP3 now
Maybe important / I'm in the UK
What do you think about it ...
Regards

If you are under warranty, just tell the dealer you want audible prompts on Personal POIs, and that you know for a fact it worked in FUP1, was broken in FUP2/063, and is fixed in ntg6/080. My dealer (Guildford) did the upgrade and now audible works. If the option is dimmed out, get them to fix that too (it probably will be fixed with the update).

Are dealers charging for this update? I’m having constant issues in getting the FU1 update completed, purchased the car over a month ago and there’s a list of outstanding items that they’re not resolving!

Depends on the dealer. Since this is not a rectification of a car fault (though it may result in third party software working more effectively), the dealer will not be paid for the work. If you are willing to pretend to the dealer that there is a fault, they may decide to do the work just to shut you up. But they are not obliged to.

Speaking as a software developer, I suggest you don't bother unless there is something you particularly want that you know is included in the update. This is difficult in itself, since Mercedes don't disclose details.

It’s mainly to get the smart phone integration as it’s not available in the store without the update, everything is installed, just not activated 🤷‍♀️
Also, the ventilation isn’t working via the voice control and reverse is slow to engage... but mainly for the option for CarPlay!!

Note that CarPlay isn’t available on the early 2018 build cars if you don’t have the smartphone integration pack, even after the FU updates. I believe this applies to June - Nov 2018 build cars, but not sure on the exact dates. Mine is July 2018 and it won’t work, something to do with hardware installed.

Same for my June 2018 build car. Not that I would spend £300 for a small-screen app that would provide navigation no better in general terms and technically inferior in others, to the native system. Together with the fact that my ipod syncs perfectly, Android Auto has no appeal for me.

sorry who told that? Your dealer? How many usb do you have? Front with tablet smartphone symbol + 2 in the central part?

i am in this situation a mercedes told me that i need to be at least in FU1 to be able to buy the package and enable it otherwise it will not even appear as available.

Before buying my car I had CarPlay as a must-have but since running it, I’ve hardly used it. MBUX provides almost everything I need without the compromises that come with CarPlay.
Others will have a different opinion.

From the experience of several forum members on here, for example @Saunders above. I believe that if you have the smartphone symbol under the sliding cover you have wireless charging = smartphone integration pack. I don’t have any of the FU updates, and don’t have the need as I don’t have any issues with MBUX.

i have that but i do not have smart integration package meaning that I can buy it afterwards but i need to be in FU1 at least (i hope so)

I totally agree , i use bluetooth for music for me its great, car play on MBUX is not needed . Even better with the latest fup3 update i had downloaded at mercedes yesterday

And if you don't have "Store" on the Home Page options, or can't see the software version - you've got the FU1 software.
I have no system info option in my system settings menu as per your video. I'm not convinced the garage actually updated my system or fixed the communication module as I still don't seem to have traffic info.

Is there another way to see the mbux version?

If you don’t have System Info and software version - you’ve got the original or FU1 software.

You/they just have to go to an A class in their showroom, turn it on and go to System Info, if it’s been built recently, it will show the software version, that’s ‘proof’ that yours isn’t the latest level.
