I own a 2022 A45s which has done 22k miles (if that factors in at all).
I haven't owned it all that long and I'm still getting us to its little intricacies and differences over my previous W176 A45 which it replaced.
One thing I've noticed is a noise coming from the rear when pulling away from a standstill. It doesn't sound 'mechanical' rather it almost sounds like someone has left one of those cheap lightweight footballs in the boot which is hitting the back of the boot as the car moves away. I've checked the boot is empty as well as checking nothing is rolling around under the false floor but I can't see anything which could cause the noise.
The best I can describe it is a light 'thud' as opposed to anything crunching or banging. It literally does sound like a 'flyaway football' (as we used to call them in 80s) is rolling around the boot. It's very subtle too - so subtle my wife can't hear it yet I can. Now I know it's there my ears are tuned to hear it each time.
As I understand it this car has microphones under the bonnet and near the exhaust as part of the "AMG Real Performance Sound" - Could it just be part of that? Any other suggestions for the culprit?
