Yeah, I’ve been getting them too. When it gets too low you get “critical level” notifications in the app and via txt / email depending on how MM is set up

Like you only doing short trips and dashcam not helping either

Got the usual battery warning this am. Frosty morning and car not been used much recently. Then got following warnings. I’ve driven it and battery back to partial charged.

I guess this is the big battery in engine bay? Can I just go to my local motor parts place and get it changed easily enough.

can’t believe a 4 year old car needs a new battery. Had a MK1 TT for 8 years then a MK2 TTS for 10 years and never had to do this 🤨🤨

It’s a smart charger & suitable for stop start cars so monitors the charge then shuts down. will see how it goes, used it for about 4 hours yesterday and no issues today.

can new sealed batteries even boil dry? 🤷

Just to let you know the fully charged status didn't last and it's back to partially charged, and its a balmy 14.5c today. I will almost certainly need to get it changed at the service next year. One of the considerations that makes me reticent to change it is that the battery weighs around 23kgs and is not in the most ideal locations to take out and replace. I just don't want any damage to the car.
I’ve had a new battery for a couple of months and although it’s working perfectly, inc stop / start function, it says partially charged some of the time. A decent drive does put it back to charged. What you have to remember is the amount of electrics that are still functioning even when parked As they monitor the car and transmit to the app

I went for about a year and regularly got critical error / do not drive warnings especially in the colder months, however, it always started. Finally bit the bullet a few months ago before the winter set in

I'm going to ask about it when I'm back there in the summer for the next official service, but considering I never use start/stop, if that's all it does, I'm not going to bother replacing it, unless it starts giving me warnings and spamming my phone.
My stop start is working again since the main battery replacement. Hadn’t worked for about 3 or 4 years before then 😏😏

Hi everyone,

I hope everyone is well!!
I bought a Mercedes a250 premium plus 2019 a month ago and I’m on annual leave for 3.5 weeks soon. I wonder if you could help me. My question is that will the battery last that long while the car won’t be used for that time? Shall I buy a jump starter or a trickle charger? Please, advice and I’ll highly appreciate it. Thank you
Do you get regular battery warnings? if yes I’d consider renewing it. If you look in the app and it shows charged it’ll be fine to leave for that amount of time
