Does anyone else have this functionality on their keys, with the keyless go system. I've noticed that my keys go into a sleep mode and I have to shake them to wake up, in order to lock/unlock. Maybe Mercedes introduced this to combat the keys remaining live and being scanned by thieves with their special devices.

Yep, mine does exactly the same. I think after two minutes of the key not moving, it goes to sleep.

Yes as @veeeight says standard along with the double click locking to disable the key.

HOLD ON A MINUTE!! Not heard any of this! o_Oo_O 😁😁

I understand the 'go to sleep' function but not the 'disable key' function mentioned by @Forrester??
@steve_3939 will be able to point you to one of his past @trick and tips” posts on this.

It’s best to double click the remote to lock when parking at the long stay airport car park.

In addition to disabling the keyless entry system, it also reduces the battery drain on the car.

The dealer should have said about this feature at handover.

Ok, didn't know about that, cheers. Plus, I presume to 'unsleep' the key you double click again?
Press twice in quick succession to disable keyless

Press once to re-enable keyless
