Whist perusing various YouTube videos of the A Class, I've noticed a couple of times where the front and rear lights appear to be putting on a show, as though they are in screensaver mode. I notice it when the car is parked with the lights on.

Example: (go to 4m30s in):

What's the score? Will my A Class wink at me if I leave the lights on when I'm parked?

Ha, while the lights come on when you unlock it in the dark (I park underground so not sure yet about in the light?) I've not spotted anything so weird happening!

The LED lights</span>are multiplexed which means they are flashing on and off in a way that is not discernible to the naked eye and produces no visible flicker.</span>

</span>
However when the LED lights are filmed, </span>the video cameras frame rate is not in sync with the LED lights causing the</span>flicker to appear on the video.</span>
