I get in my AMG A35 (similar engine to the A250) circa 29 - 42mpg on my commute depending on speed and congestion

Commute is 90 percent motorway with fast feeder roads and traffic lights.

If you drive it hard I don't expect I will see the 20s only just going on 1000 miles so still to launch it.

That doesn't seem so bad for mainly urban driving with a spirited 220 pony 2 litre. My A35 has run at 35 mpg overall (8L/100km) for about 10600 miles (17000km), but I have a surgically precise right foot and a tendency for lazy cruising with only brief bursts of insanity. Holy Moly that's in less than nine months as well.

My driving is a mix of about 20% urban, 60% open road, 20% motorway.

I'm similar here in A250. Big difference is traffic, it saps the MPG rate. A busy morning I'll be on 33 but on a very clear run in ECO I can get 44. On a motorway run sitting with cruise control on at 70MPH I'm into the 50s. Having said all this, my 1.4 170BHP Giulietta wouldn't get much more than 37 on the same commute, so given the uptick in performance I'm pretty happy that driving carefully I can better that.

I have a FWD A250 and have averaged 29 mpg (UK) over 20k miles.

I probably drive about 60% urban and 40% motorway/open roads. I drive manual mode most times so get around 15-23 mpg urban and 40+ mpg on motorways with cruise on.

In eco i can get high 20's / low 30's around town.

My morning commutes can be anywhere between 25-45 mpg lol, which is a mix of urban and motorway over 10miles. It all really depends how you drive!!
