Hi all,

My daughter has a 12 month old A35 and on the service it was reported back that the front rims have cracked is several places. I assume she must have hit a pot hole or two!

Mercedes recommended replacement at over £1500 for 2 which seems expensive, any recommendations for a cheaper alternative?

Both wheels have the same damage. just had the tyres changed and the technician referred to them as chocolate wheels! Ive gone back to Mercedes to see if I can get them under warranty but not holding out much hope, cars only done 12k miles.

Bit undecided as alloy repair said with 5 cracks per wheel its not economic to repair so its bit the bullet and pay MB £1500, or source some on ebay. I found these for a A45:
Genuine 19" Mercedes A45 AMG wheels. Immaculate. £350 Each. | eBay

not sure if they are the same as the A35 ones though. Anyone got experience of this?

scrap that just noticed they are 16 spokes and mine are 14 on the A35

I might get the A45 wheels apparently they fit the A35 just fine.

Gave up and bit the bullet got two from Mercedes’ managed to knock them down to £1350.

Not sure I’ll get the shop to have a look when they change the fronts, I think they are fine Mercedes’ did a service last month and didn’t flag them.
