I followed up Brabus and asked which day this week it will be released in keeping with the pre-Christmas holiday release I was told and this is what I received back:

The stage 1 tune looks cheap next to what I expect Brabus will ask but then again most tunes look cheap compared to them, but you get what you pay for.

I'm guessing the pricing at the bottom of the page is for insurance but am not sure whether it will be nearly as good as the Brabus cover of 60,000 miles.

Is this an interceptor unit? I have used similar devices in other cars, they can work well and be quickly removed with no trace. However, to utilise its potential you still need a custom rather than generic tune - preferably with a dyno.

Totally agree!
Most piggyback modules won't offer more than 480hp but with Stage 1 dyno tune you can see figures over 500hp or 400+ whp. M139 has great potential and it's bulletproof.

Brabus have now been in touch. To say I am underwhelmed by their offer is probably an understatement. The power increase is less than it was for my original A45. I have asked them about the price, torque and power curves and dealerships where it will be available. In lockdown we may not be entitled to travel to get it fitted anyway if we are interested so that could settle it for now:
