@Griff - I tell them not to do a service wash because they are so shite at washing. I wonder if we are both using the same dealership.
I normally insist they write "DO NOT WASH" on the job sheet but I was so knocked back by the bad attitude and the recall not taking place that I forgot.

I'm still waiting for the compensation but once that's sorted I'll name the dealership. It's within Cambridgeshire, I'll say that much.

My experience of winning a case is that it comes with an NDA. Hence I would be careful about naming.

I agree!

So perhaps you shouldn’t have asked him to!!!! 😂

o_O 😂
Before I figured and @Griff confirmed his neuro diversity 🤷‍♂️

How long before the letters go out
I don’t suppose you’ve received the letter yet? MB by recalling in reverse chronological order are prioritising those who can bring a warranty claim against them as opposed to ones like mine which are out of warranty. But it is perhaps not the best business approach. First because the newer cars are less likely to break down with the fault and second if a car like mine broke down because of this defect and MB wanted to charge some of us would be open to litigation against them.

Nothing in my letterbox, the power steering recall letter turned up after I had booked mine in. There won’t be so many to fix this time round as it’s only a FWD issue.

Thank you.

When you booked in for?

That was the power steering recall letter, not had a flex plate one yet. This recall is no longer showing up on the DVSA site 🤷🏻‍♂️
You’re out of warranty now as well? Is that correct?

I’ve emailed my local garage again but am sure I won’t be on the list yet.
