So, just noticed (because now it's boiling hot out!) that when my car is charging, I can't run the air con. I top up now and again at a charge point near work. Sometimes will sit on lunch, using my laptop or phone, and tried the air con, but even though it's lit up that it's activated, there's no cool air. Just blows regular air through. You can't turn on the ignition as the cable is connected. So I can't see a way of doing this. Which seems odd as you can do pre entry climate control can't you?

Am I missing something?

Use the pre-entry climate function, button to the right of A/C switch. I do the same when sat waiting for the children to come out of school.

You can also get to the pre-ignition stage by pressing the usual start button and have full control of the ac.
