Company in Asia did it tho. But mind you that even on Ebay the double 10" screens cost already 1k.
I don't think its a hotswap like on the W176. Since you need to code it to switch from 7" to 10".

 

As all colleagues know that to order a full dual 2 x 10.25inch display the Premium option is required
Because for security reasons I did not want the KEYLESS-ENTRY option which is in the Premium option together with the 10.25 "instrument cluster. I chose the Executive option with 10.25 "media display only.
Finally, I have a 7 " cluster and media display 10.25"
I suggested in Mercedes that I will pay for the entire Premium option but without the Keyless-Entry assembly.
Unfortunately, although in the rest of the world option 7 "or 10.25 " is as a separate one but in the UK it is in the package.
Either everything or nothing.
Is it possible to change / reprogram the display 7 "to 10.25" when interfering with the software or the whole cluster instrument plus media display needs to be replaced.
Somebody mentioned something about some codes.
What is going on .
However, is there any hope of getting two 10.25 displays indicating that I already have one.
I will be obligated for suggestions.

 

I've seen a few people that haven't gone premium because they don't want the keyless entry option, i think that's insane! Not only does the fob stop broadcasting a signal after a couple of minutes of it not moving but you can also press the lock button twice which disables the system completely and the doors wont unlock again until the button is physically pressed.

You can of course find the 10.25" displays and have them fitted but the system then needs to be codded to work with the bigger displays. From what I've seen, you're still looking at £2000 for a complete install which to me is crazy.

 

Does anyone have any update for this? It’s been a long time and quite frankly I don’t fancy shipping my car off to Singapore...

 

If it’s the company I’m thinking of, if you can find someone to do it they’ll ship the parts and give you the information for coding it. I am considering 360 camera so have been in contact myself.

 

What I don't understand is why not just buy the car with the larger screens?

Saves the hassle of searching to find out if you can retro fit it.

Save you buying it.

Saves you getting it installed and the coding it...
