Went for a run in my engineered this evening with the ESP off. Great fun! Very potent. Don' t think it would be fun in the wet!

ESP off + sport mode + cold tyres = wheel spin! It felt quicker through the gears, I'm not sure if it actually was?! The weather has been so bad, yesterday was the first time I tried it. Wish ESP was just a button press though rather than a menu scroll jobby. Knowing Merc it probably isn't fully off either. Still great fun. Edited by: Mbznut

Great. I believe it is really easy to get A250 Sport to spin. And, yes, it is not totally off according to lots of reviews.

How do you turn off ESP in the Engineered? I can't seem to find the button anywhere

To turn the ESP off you need to go through the settings menu, I think it's under safety

Hi Guys, I am new to the forum. I previously owned a w204 C200 CDI. The ABS/ ESP could be switched off completely from the Diagnostics menu. I have not tried in the A class yet. Will try when i get home. but the steps to get there is:

1. Turn the key to position 1 - Not the start position.</span>
2. Press and hold the Accept Phone Button on the steering.</span>
3. Press and hold OK on the steering wheel until the menu comes up.</span>
