Extended Restart in Traffic with Distronic Adaptive Cruise Control

Yes, my understanding & experience is as you have stated. Distronic will bring the car to a standstill & move off again when traffic allows.
If stationery for app 30 secs, you will then need to either 1) press the throttle slightly or 2) activate the ‘resume’ position on the stalk to move off again. Distronic remains active through this procedure.
