@Exorth out of interest, when you play music, can it show the cover art etc on the Mercedes dashboard display like it would normally? Of does the Aux to USB trick mean that the car just thinks it's playing the dummy file (and thus, not show anything else on the dashboard)?
aux to usb means the car thinks it’s playing the dummy file. So it doesn’t show what is playing. However, changing tracks from the touchpad does work.

Ok thanks for the fast response! What about when using Bluetooth? Do you use the USB for all audio then? You mentioned you used the "MBUX Bluetooth" in an earlier post but then later mentioned there's a delay when using Bluetooth - just trying to understand how you set it up in the end :)

Also working on a way of getting it to the UK. Gutted they don't ship directly, and none of the other options seem to have that aux cable solution.

Recently made the decision to go for the CLA instead of a 330e as company car due to lower BIK and as Carplay fan you can imagine the sinking feeling of disappointment when I connected my phone for the first time! Looks nothing like it did in my A4. Luckily MBUX itself has a decent nav, built in Spotify, TuneIn etc, so I'm just using that, but I sure do miss the full Carplay experience.

The delay I mentioned was that some interfaces on the market connect to the Bluetooth of the car instead of going through the AUX route like the interface I have. This would mean that when you use wireless CarPlay - audio goes wirelessly to the interface and then the interface has to wirelessly transmit that to the car. This causes a delay with phone calls and a loss in audio quality.

You can route all audio through MBUX Bluetooth (without having to hardwire the interface if you prefer). The only downside of this is that Apple Maps turn-by-turn audio and Siri audio will not play as those audio channels cannot be changed and only want to output to the CarPlay interface, not to the bluetooth of MBUX.

"You can route all audio through MBUX Bluetooth" how ? i can not have android auto and MBUX audio equally...

A small update - It has arrived, Unit installed... First impressions, not particular happy... Android auto is grainy and pixelated, tried forcing resolutions in the AA developer options but no better. In talks with the seller, to see if he can come up with a solution.

Positives to say are it is quick at booting and does seem responsive. Yet to test audio, if the video feed cannot be sorted I'll be ripping it out.

That’s the iManAuto box one? Got any pics of how it looks on your screen? Quite curious.

Yes iManAuto,

Image below, don't know if the grainy image is showing truly. You can see the arrow in maps does not have straight/clean lines.

After speaking with the seller again, he is going to send a software update to try fix the issue.

Oh yeah, that does look terrible. Even the apps to the side are extremely blurry. How’s the audio?
