Had my A200 2019 serviced last week, said i still need to arrange to have my automatic gear box oil change with mercedes, costs £3-£400, wasnt included in full service with cazoo

How often does this need swapping out? Ive read its 10kmiles but also read 40k somewhere online

any help would be greatly appreciated
See the attachment in the linked post below. It’s the service items/schedule for the W177, in 2019.

You need to get the latest version of the service schedule, as some items have revised time / mileage service intervals.

But you need to know the exact variant and model of your transmission to determine the oil change interval.

Helloo,

I can't find any information on when to get the automatic (A200 Petrol W177) gearbox serviced. How often is this done? I went on the mercedes website to look at what work could be booked online, but there was no explicit option regarding transmission or gearbox. In my previous car they had to change the fluid, filter, and some seals.

any insight would be appreciated. 47k miles, approaching 5 years old.
thx

You need to know the exact model of gearbox/reansmission, and check this against the latest version of the service schedule.

I just called up mercedes instead, told them my reg for the w177 and the advisor looked on their system and told me the gearbox service for A200 (my reg) is due every 77,500 miles and was about £220.
That is a long mileage service interval.

Personally I would consider getting it done earlier, especially if you experience jerkiness with the gearbox in cold weather.

Hi, had my car serviced last week at the main dealers, B service, received a phone call a few days later saying they forgot to change the auto transmission oil and filter, so now booked in again in 2 weeks time. Wonder what else they forgot 🤔🙄
Yours is not the first example of “forgot” to change gearbox or diff oil / service I’ve heard about on this forum :(
