Greasy Foggy Windscreen (inside)?

Not sure if this is a problem unique to the A250e hybrid or a general problem ?

I've had my A250e saloon around one year from new, and it's always had this annoying problem. The inside of the windscreen is always steaming up, or at least seems to be coated with a layer of fine mist.. wiping it just temporarily cleans it away, it soon returns and shows all the wipe/streak marks. It always happens even if the AC is on and the heat is directed to the windscreen... I'm forever wiping it with a chamois pad to try and get it clean. If I clean it with glass cleaner it seems to just smear around as if it's coated with some kind of grease or similar. I tried to clean i with meths, but it just left smear marks everywhere.

Anyone have the same problem ? if so what's the best way to fix it ?

Thanks

See post #15.

You need a high quality glass cleaner to get every bit of residue off.

And from there keep the inside of the car very very dry.

If you find it difficult or impossible to keep the inside from fogging up - has your car been back for the leaky condensate drain recall?
Hi OK thanks I'll try and give it a good clean with some high quality stuff. I didn't receive any info on leaking condensate drain... it's my company car provided through a lease, so not sure how that would get to me, it is however booked in for it's first service at the MB dealers tomorrow, so I guess that they will address any recall's or similar.

reading the above posts, seems like a common problem.
