Hi All,</span>

I'm new here and new to forums in general so please be
gentle with me. I'm an ex-Golf man and
this is my first Mercedes. I was
actually on route for a BMW test drive and I saw my first A- class on the opposite
MB forecourt and I just had to have one- sorry BMW.

It's a Mountain Grey A 200 Sport CDI Auto , with a few nice packages- leather seats
and Becker map pilot""¦ and the Bluetooth
iPhone integration is great. A really great car, quiet, smooth comfortable- all one would
expect for the price! Though not sure about the Distronic system as it seems to have
given me a few false warnings.

But I just love the way you can slip into flappy-paddle mode
so quickly- my Golf TDI 170 DSG was so cumbersome that I never ever used it- this
car seems to be in a different class.
Really enjoying it so far""¦

So it's taken me a couple of weeks to get used to the displays
and gadgets- particularly the gear stork (my dad's old ford Zodiac had a column
change!), but I have some questions...Why
does the MPG profile/bargraph on the System view not go any higher than 50mpg and why
does the real-time mpg bar on the Range display only go up to 40 mpg. If the
car is capable of returning 55mpg + (which mine does) then whydoesn'tit show
it- it seems to be a bit of a design fault to me. I would be interested to know
if anyone out there has any theories as to why and do you think this can be changed
as an update? ""¦ or is this just my car?

PS I had to wait 3 months for delivery and did not get a
penny discount""¦ not a complaint though!

Hi Steve and welcome

The low mpg graphic seems to be a Mercedes oddity. It was the same on my 2009 C250 as well. Its not just your car!

Glad to hear you love the car and that BMW lost out!

Hi SteveD and welcome to the forum.

I really enjoyed the DSG gear box as it was my first automatic and was brilliant. I am currently waiting on trying the dual clutch on the MB.

But MB did advise that DSG is slightly better than there automatic which kind of surprised me when the salesman said that lol
