Ordered start of July with Arnold Clark and still no build date. Estimate has moved from mid November to December so fingers crossed.

 

Yup me too with Arnold Clark Perth. Told exactly the same on Wednesday when I chased. Car in Zebrugge awaiting transport and should be in Perth 24th. Was also advised delivery to me in Surrey on 5th November. Fireworks if not having waited so long

 

My present car goes back the 25th so I wonder where we stand legally for a courtesy car because I have many emails saying I will have the car by that date

 

My Golf was due back 7th September. Luckily the lease company have been brilliant and let me extend to a max of 90 days which was very tight with some of the dates given to me from AC Perth!!

 

I ordered 2 July and cancelled October 14 due to no build slot being allocated.

 

I doubt you would get a courtesy car, they may rent you one though.

 

I got a loan of a C class for about 3 weeks last year while I was awaiting my 250

They just said that it was at Bremerhaven waiting to get on a boat they didn’t really give a reason for the further delay. He also said if it doesn’t get on the next boat it will be delayed further so that’s just great. What did they tell you?

 

Friday gone I was told car was at Bremerhaven then zebrugge was mentioned then in to teesport then on the transporter to Perth but the bit I don't get is why would it go to zebrugge from Bremerhaven.Anyhow I will be on the phone to them tomorrow to find out what is happening.

 

Yes he also mentioned earlier that it was going to Zeebrugge which I didn’t understand either. Very odd. I was told to call back on Wednesday and there should be a further update

 

Been on the phone to Arnold Clark today been given a new date of November 1st but not guaranteed, when asked about a courtesy car was told to hire one myself and then send invoice to Mercedes. Not happy.

 

I've been on the phone to them as well. Back and forth to try to find an accurate update. Still waiting for the car to arrive in Zeebrugge. Car is still at the Factory in Finland though. Estimated date is still showing as 30th October for me but i have zero confidence in that.

In terms of the courtesy car, I've been told the same. Hire a car and invoice Mercedes. I would suggest emailing cs.uk@mercedes-benz.com as i have. They have mentioned a potential goodwill gesture after I receive the car. Hoping the MBUK Head Office may be able to offer a car, although i'm not confident. Regardless of that, even if they have a complaint logged and made aware; it may help in terms of compensation / goodwill gestures. At least that's my thought process.

Ordered 9th June a35 in white & it arrived 1st week of September. It did get delayed for parts.

 

Mine arrived in Zeebrugge yesterday afternoon. Good to hear that its built and on its way! I have heard Mercedes are actually now cancelling a250 orders

 

I was playing with the UK configurator a couple of days back and you could only select 220 or 250 petrol variants so would be surprised if they are cancelling 250’s. Having said that the poor ordering experience I have had with Mercedes so far nothing should be surprising !!

So I got the email from Arnie C demanding money - car is now in their hands and will be delivered on 31/10/19. So another date change but at least in my favour this time (but still ~ 2 months after my original quoted delivery). Mad rush time now to get the Golf collected and sort out some GAP insurance.

Hoping mine is ST69! I was already having a chuckle to myself about getting a '69' reg... ST are the first two letters of my surname, so it'd be a bit like a free personalised plate!

Ordered a A250 Premium on 15th May from Arnold Clark Perth. Build slot allocated 14th Aug, car arrived last Friday at the dealership and due to be delivered to me on 29th Oct.

I've heard back today. First actual bit of positive progress since being allocated a build slot! Mine has now arrived at Zeebrugge with delivery to the Dealership on the 1st November.

Without being too negative, unless you have been told that your car has been checked into Zeebrugge, i wouldn't hold much hope on the date they mention. I ordered mine in May. My first delivery date was in September, its been pushed back continuously on a weekly basis since then. Last week i was told it would be 7th November, and then today I've been told its the 30th as its arrived in Zeebrugge. I have a friend who has ordered the same car and has also experienced the same delays on a weekly basis.

Totally agree with you. Got told yesterday 2 weeks from yesterday delivery to dealers. But it could change either way.

 

If I ever order a new factory Mercedes it will be month and months in advance. I just do not trust anyone's word after my experiences. Cars are amazing, order process, progress, and updates are shite imo.

I agree with you mate. In all fairness though, this is my 4th Mercedes from a factory order and its been smack on delivery date each time, the order process has always been smooth and seamless in the past. With the only exception being on my last model when the underside was damaged on the Lorry, even then it was a 10 day delay with a courtesy car provided instantly and a goodwill gesture provided.

This time however it's been an absolute nightmare throughout. So bad, to the point its put me off ever going down a factory order route again. Anyway, should have it next week hopefully!
