Hi Everyone,

Been following quietly for last few weeks and finally getting my new A class Premium In Black (I know, nightmare to keep clean but with the tinted windows I think looks smart!) Anyway, reading through the forum and some older posts Im getting confused with the Me App. My understanding was this came as standard for free for 3 years, including traffic, maps etc, although it seems from reading the forum thats not the case? Anyone recently had delivered a new premium model, what did you get? Android auto comes as standard so i imagine i'd mostly use that for maps and stuff as needed, so wouldnt pay extra.

Its all very confusing, seems straight forward in the brocher and online, then once you've signed on the dotted line, things start to unravil! Just hope its worth it!

No messages in the inbox or notifications accessed by that top right corner since I've had MMe installed. There have been notifications about updates but they have been on the main screen between 'Mercedes me' and the model designation, pushing the latter down.

However today the count on the icon it has reduced from '8' to '1'.

Yes. But I think either the previous owner hasn’t deleted themselves or they have expired. As they do after three years and need renewing.

I am not sure I understand what the problem is. Do you have an up to date subscription @PaulH If we know the answer to that we can help further.

Like I said I created the account when I got the car but only installed the app on a new phone in the last month. I can log on in a browser and see all the information I entered when creating the account. Is that what you mean by having a 'subscription'? I've not taken any paid-for options, if that is what you mean.

Anyone with an MB can have an account and download the app.

It's now clear. You need to have paid to use more than the basic app functions. I would therefore ignore messaging relating to the app as it will not work properly until you pay a subscription to activate all its features.

Perhaps someone with an android phone can explain to you better. But as far as I can tell they are notifications. Relating to apps options that work and ones which don’t. I would also recommend contacting MB to them.

Do you mean the Me showing your car? If so it just appears automatically. As in my post number 15 on here.
