I have had the dealership call me regarding the Mercedes service plan, I had a bit of trouble when I first had the car (November) and I was given a free service for this year. In the service plan the cost of the second years service comes out at a whopping £467.75 this is for a major service plus brake fluid change, now to me this is bordering on a Porsche service costs for a small family hatchback. The cost of the service plan has increased fro £28 to £29 per month
The question I would like answering is do you have to have the brake fluid changed at 2 years or could you ask them to test it to see if it actually needed changing, also my car is on a 3 year pcp so do you have to have it serviced at Mercedes or can you take it to a vat registered garage. I would assume that I would be contacted before the 3 years is up for another pcp so the 3rd year service wouldn’t come into it. The cost they have quoted for the 3rd service is £849.81 which includes a minor service plus air filter, spark plugs and transmission oil change, mind blowing really.
