Merged: Service Cost & Intervals

Morning all, I’ve just agreed to a personal lease for 3 years on an a250 amg premium line and the quote for maintenance is £42 per month inc vat. This includes all services, tyre replacements and so forth. I had decided not to do this however reading this thread I am reconsidering. I’d like to know if people think I’m better off paying this monthly rate or just paying the service at the time myself.

Cheers
Mark
For my A180 I’ve decided to pay the £29/month from Mercedes rather than the lease cover. If you think you’re going to get through loads of tyres then the lease deal may work out better.

Frustratingly, the free servicing deal on right now is only for pcp/lease directly from Mercedes this time so I’m not eligible.

Every dealer seems to quote a slightly different price. Also with the plan you get a loan or collection included - usually chargeable.

As mine is a (3 year) lease I possibly could have delayed the first two services and therefore not had to do a third. This worked well for my previous car, but that was on an 18,000 mile schedule. For the Merc it would be more difficult (as every 15,500) so I just opted for the 3 services/3 year plan. I don't think it'll save much (if anything) but just seems to be easier.

The quote they sent me is inclusive of collection but not a loaner, as i work less than a mile from a large dealership, either is fairly irrelevant.

How much do the a and b services cost roughly?
I was quoted around £350, £475, £350 for A, B , A. That included the £50 loan cost though, so I guess stlghtly cheaper just to pay as you go - especially if you can get a better offer.
