HI ,

I am a new driver in this country but have an experienced driver overall . I would like to drive my new MB with P plates given I passed my test recently .
However since the doors are made of aluminium , the magnetic plates which I ordered from Amazon dont work .
What's the other way to get it stick to the front and the rear side . Not sure if the paint gets damaged if I use tapes .

Hi mate you can buy ones that stick from the inside to back and front windows. Most good car accessory shops have them.

The magnetic plates, if they are anything like L-Plates are pretty useless as I used to have them fly off and lost when I took my kids out and they still do that when I have been following L drivers.

To be honest with you, I would advise against using 'P' plates, as other road users generally don't give you the courtesy and care your looking for in this regard. Drivers will see your 'P' plates as an indicator to overtake you and drive aggressively around you. Its your choice, but I've come across this unwarranted behaviour many times in the past.
