Is this a common thing on a35’s, as car only done 9k miles, but drivers side is full of rust on the front disc, does anyone a good product to get rid of it?
makes the car look crap when it just sits there n all can see is rust through the gap in alloys. It’s really bugging me, if not anyone no where can get replacement ones without going Mercedes

At 9,000 miles there will be nothing wrong with your discs.
Just take the car for a run and all will be good again.

It's a feature of iron, it tends to oxidise (rust).
This always gets brought up in car forums.

If you're bothered about the cosmetic effect, you can always upgrade to Ceramic brakes, discs and pads, or wire brush and paint your iron hubs with a zinc rich paint, or Hammerite smooth.

Last time my dad replaced ceramic disks on his car it was more than 10grand.
So if I had to choose between ceramic disks or a wire-brush I would go for the wire-brush.
Brushing every few months is cheaper then ceramic disks...

Get the hubs painted, worked a treat on my GTI, my CLA doesnt seem to suffer but it does get a weekly iron fallout clean.
