Mine's due in March too but might go earlier if the Brabus tune is worthwhile and get it done at the same time. As I have the SP I haven't needed to ask a price but the garage I was speaking to about the tune, to gauge how long I would need to wait around in the freezing cold, said it doesn't need a diff oil change. Which on the first gen A45 was a 3hrs+ item. So if right it should keep the cost down.

 

That's handy to know - I will get a price from 2 Dealers and see how they compare - both different Groups.
I know when I shopped around for my Audi the price fluctuated massively from Dealer to Dealer for the exact same service !

First service appears to be £380 to £410 ... which is very dear for 1st service imo.

My RS3 was that for a major service & around £250 for interim / 1st service.

 

That is probably about right as labour alone is most of that cost. You can get the service plan at the service and therefore not pay anything when there just the monthly premiums will be high. I did that for my first A45. I was presented with some hefty bill, can't remember how much now, or I could take the SP and not pay anything.

 

Anyone know a current promo code for the service plan ?

my third service on my old 45 FL with its first MOT was roughly £960.
thats why I paid upfront wi This car for 3 years using the discount code way back last summer.

So I have renewed for 48 months for four services at £51 pm. This way I can cancel any time but have visibility of the main part of my service costs for the next 5 years. Added to which it will hopefully hold me back from changing to the FL A45s.

sounds similar to what I am on... what is your plan for extended warranty? I have tried to get quotes but they always tell me wait until you are closer to it's expiry and we can give you an accurate number

 

I got more back from my cancelled 3rd service than I thought. Myself and some others paid upfront for 3 services.

 

 

Just purchased a plan for 2 services and 2 MOT tests for £1440 for years 3 and 4

This includes the additional items on year 3 which is spark plugs, air filter, gearbox oil and filter, diff oils and pan roof lube.
Also got a quote to extend my warranty past year 3 which came in at £1243 for 1 year or £2362 for 2 years but i think i'm going to go with the pay as you go plan which is £117 per month.

Anyone had any experience getting repairs done under the Mercedes extended warranty ?

 

I had my cylinder head replaced under the Mercedes extended warranty. What car do you have, as your service plan costs seem rather high? I bought a 3 service plan for the same cost you paid. Are you sure you didn't buy a three year plan?

 

It’s a 2021 A45s, definitely only 2 services

 

I’m paying £51 P/M for 3 services

 

The SP cost depends upon how close to the next service it’s bought. Mine is £51pm because I bought it 12 months before the service was due which is what most of us do. But if I bought the plan on the day of the service which I did for my first A45 then it’s a lot more pm.

 

I tied in my current SP to my MB account, yesterday. My latest plan started after my three year plan ended in 2023. Hence the 2024 service should have been the first service credited to it. But by connecting the SP to my account I can see that MB credited my 2023 service to it. 2023 was the year the car had to go in twice as the first time around the garage had omitted a number of service items.

I have emailed the garage. We'll what happens next, but I would urge everyone with a SP to tie it into their car account and then check the services which been credited to it.

 

Just a follow up on developments.

I received an email back and basically the garage charged for the service twice and were paid twice by MB. They will sort out their mistake but said that they were surprised MB didn’t pick it up.
