VW are currently having a mare with their ACC and speed limit adoption.

It sees a UK National Speed Limit sign, and converts it to 44mph, slows the car down, before changing it back to 70mph and speeds the car up again 😂

Some people are also experiencing the car setting the ACC speed to 110 mph too :)

Roll on automation. “Honest Officer, the car adopted the speed limit all by itself”. :)

He did indeed. Separately I've driven cars in the past that have had a black box fitted for insurance and their app got very unhappy with straying a couple of mph over the posted limit.
With that system you spend most of the time watching the speedo.
I hope insurance companies don't start tracking how fast or not we are going and if we have switched off the monitoring 🙂

What do you lot think of this. I just thought it would be funny if anyone with a new A45 or A35 turned up at the Nurburgring ready for your laps and the last speed limit sign was the 20 km/hour in the car park. Might take a while 😂

It’s not a good idea in my view. To overtake safely you need more in the tank than just the maximum speed limit ie will it be a progressive taper or a hard ceiling. Anyway I think it might be more safety negative than positive.

I rarely go into that screen so haven’t noticed. But am sure it’s a depiction. Unlike the main screen with the speed limit on you can switch off.
