Apologies if I am in the wrong section but I am thinking of getting the starguard on my white A180 . Could somebody who has already had this done let me know if it is worth it and how much did they pay.
Thanks

Don't waste your money, MB get this for next to nothing and charge you the customer a lot, and it's also known that some dealers may not apply it correct....

My honest view is don't buy it from dealer unless you get it sub 100 pounds then still seek proper quote from a detailer local to you

I bought cQuartz which is the same and my guy took 4 days to do it, but there are others Polished Angle, Modestra etc...

The benefit is the shine is very good, and a quick wash brings it all back, you will need to apply what called reload spray to the car every few months, you can't really wax it anymore as this doesn't really do much, you can if you want but I wouldn't...

Agree, my dealer wanted ÂŁ575 pounds for interior and exterior protection.I bought Q2 spray for the interior and Boora Permaguard for the exterior, total cost ÂŁ50 and I have enough permaguard for another car. took 1 hour for the interior and 4 hours to apply the two coats to the outside, but well worth it. some car detailers charge ÂŁ180 to do this and probably do a better job as they will normally clay the car first.(this means to get rid of dust and slight imperfections, making the paint even glossier)

I took Supaguard with mine, as it does enhance the shine and makes cleaning a little easier, but imo it is not as good as a ceramic such as Gen3 Glasscoat which I had on my previous vehicle.

However, as I knew what I was getting (Starguard is repackaged Supaguard, which I've had on a couple of other cars!) I ignored the sales hype and took it at a price that I was happy with.
