Hi all
I have a A250e in my house in Britain, but as I am Portuguese and go there a few times a year I end up spending quite a lot on rental cars.
I’ve been looking at the old A Class as a holiday car, something to drive to and from the beach.

Does anyone know of any good model? Is the 169 better than the 168? Is a petrol engine with 150k mi still worth buying?

The problem with any older car is that it's very hit and miss whether it has many miles left in it or not. I am sure if people who suggest a vehicle they know to you they are not going to undersell that car. When I gave away my wife's Golf to our son in law about four years ago it was FSH from a main dealer and every part was genuine VW. But it was a lot less than 150K miles and it was free to a family member. I would recommend personally try the family route first and not just set your sights on an MB.
