Hello, long shot but I have an a-class automatic 1.5 diesel 2014. it has 97000 on the clock - but the other day whilst driving, the car suddenly turns/cuts off. I tried starting it again, the ignition lights up in position 1 and 2 and then does not crank in position 3. No crank noise either.

Can anyone advise I've seen a lot of posts of older Mercedes Benz models but nothing more recent. Note. I have ordered a brand new battery from Mercedes so will keep you up to date on the progress. My local garage has checked all fuses but cant find anything wrong.

But has anyone else experienced a similar issue? if so what was the solution? what did you check for? Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Need to be diagnose by OBD diagnostic - Snapon Delphi or any OBD reader first.
Any light when cuts off?

So no crank. ignition and lights come on but when turned to position 3 to start the car nothing happens.

No engine management light

Starter relay is driven purely from car ECU

Gona be issue of EZS (EIS) and message goes by CAN network to ECU

ECU give Positive and negative for relay coil and operate start of starter.

Let the try swap relay K68 first but before check bypass relay manually if car will crank
