Hello everyone,

I'm a new membership.I have a Mercedes A200 AMG and I would like to ask you, what is the max Torque that the 7g-dct transmission can resist?
Because I chip tune my car and also I have a custom exhaust from downpipe..The dyno showed 208 hp.And now i want to go up to 230-240 hp with a hybrid turbo..I think that 1.6 turbo engine can cope with this horsepower but i am not sure about transmission. Therefore I read a .pdf file about this specific transmission that says MAX TRANSFERABLE TORQUE 350Nm.Is anyone have knowledge about this issue?

Thank you.

I believe, and im sure i read this on this forum somewhere. That the 7G DCT fitted to the A class is the same unit across all models. With the exception of the A45 which has the Speedshift DCT.

Hi again. Yes Paul_t you are right about the gearbox..It's the same but as i know the A250 4matic and A220 4matic(as yours) are combined with 4 wheel drive so the torque is distributed to all wheels..And there is my question. Is there any difference between the 2 wheel and the 4..??I believe that the 4matic system can handle more torque, together with 7 g-dct gearbox.

And the last one,the A250 model, you can buy it without 4matic but with the same horsepower. And as i saw on brabus site, they push this model the same as the 4matic(to 385 Nm)..So this is curious..Maybe my model can go through this torque..

Therefore..i decide after a lot of "digging" to put the turbo from 2L model(A250...etc) and reach my target..Because they can't do it hybrid here in Greece. And i thinh that it is a safer decision because it is a bolt-on tuning..They 1.6L and 2.0L are "sister" engine.
