Hello A250e owners!
I'm new here.
I've got an A250e myself, end of 2021 model.
I'm very happy so far, very! As I can commute only using electricity. Which was my plan.
I have anyway a few questions for which I couldn't find answers. I hope you don't mind. No, not about range this time šŸ˜…. Here they are:
  • The car, from standing still, will start moving as soon as I release the brake pedal. But the response is not exactly the same all the time, or there may be a slight delay at times, I'm not sure, but the car starts moving too quickly for my taste and it is a bit difficult to have a fine modulation. I have a very tight parking space, with a motorbike parked next, so I really want to control this phase with accuracy. Is there a way to remove this feature, so the car only moves when I press the accelerator?
  • The lateral parking sensors are also too sensitive, starting the constant and final tone when there is still too much margin in my opinion (only the lateral do this, and sometimes even driving and doing a 90 degrees turn, they start screaming constantly for apparently no reason. This is a rare occurrence though). Can anything be done for this? It is more distracting than helping.
  • I don't like the braking feeling, it is weird and unconsistent, especially at low speed when almost stopping. Do you feel the same ?
  • Isn't it bad for the thermal engine sometimes to be started from cold while driving already at highway speed? Or it is something of the past?
  • If in the future (touching wood) the battery goes bad, do you have to replace it entirely or usually only the failed cells get changed? Costs?
Sorry for the many questions, and thanks for answering

Cheers

After some time I kind of got used to all of that. Love the car, but iI still think all the points I made are far from ideal.

About the lateral sensors, if a car pass by on my left, and I'm about to turn left, even if now the other car is gone, there is a delay for the sensors to recognise that, so it will beep like crazy.

That's on mine at least

Enjoy your A250e!

I'm loving it, despite these glitches
