Delivery Time - new or used

My A250 is the first time I have bought a car from a dealer. It's actually only my third ever car too. But I was wondering whether anyone can better the delivery time on my car.

Although I had been tracking it via the approved used cars on the M-B website for a good 6-8 weeks, I made email contact with the dealership in Liverpool on a Saturday evening, drove over to test drive Sunday afternoon, and had the car personally delivered to me on the Tuesday at 4pm.


Can anyone beat 48 hours between first contact with dealer and car being collected/delivered?

my quickest was when i bought my slk, went to see the dealer on the thursday afternoon, car was brought over that night from another one of their garages for the test drive, and i picked it up the following afternoon. All in was approx 20hrs!

i hadn't even decided i definitely wanted a new car when i first went in!


When i say new, i mean new to me, it was second hand. Was great, had no problems at all and the sales person was lovely, back to the same dealer for my a class and it was a completely different experience though!


But 20hrs was my best :)
