Hi, i am asking for my daughter. She has an A200d and Mercedes have diagnosed an Exhaust gas pressure release valve - stuck open and will not accept her claim under extended warranty as it is part of the exhaust. My question is: if they replace the valve unit does it come with a new exhaust or not? If not, then i dont see how this is not covered? Thanks, Andrew

The valve is part of the exhaust. The actuator motor is separate. So if the valve is stuck then you'd need to replace the exhaust unless you find a way to unblock it. On my petrol I managed to unblock the valve using a large universal socket on a wrench.
