Just received a recall letter from MB, regarding air con.
Possible leak in condenser that could potentially cause other problems!
luckily enough, my car is already booked in next week for the air con sensor replacement.

I have left early this morning so will be interesting to find out if I have a letter when I get back. My car too has been with them over the last week... will be rather frustrating.

Recall - is this to do with the AirCon condensation drain hose?

Affecting production dates between 09/2017 and 02/2019.

If so - these are the details:

Australia:
Mercedes-Benz Australia/Pacific Pty Ltd — Mercedes-Benz A Class Passenger Cars MY2018-2019

USA (with pictures, you can check the fault yourself if you are inclined to do so):

And I thought the passenger side Foot Spa was an optional extra 🤣

Ah okay looks like I fall outside of this then.

I have just received the attached recall letter, I have experienced on more than one occasion that it refused to start, pushing the start button did nothing, it took over 20 mins to get it to crank over and start!

Currently it screams when put into D saying that there's danger around it, the parking sensors, and it's self parking option (paid extra for) have stopped working, gonna get rid!

I got my car back in Dec 2018 and found out pretty quickly after it loved to steam up, You’d be driving down the road and 2 mins later you couldn’t see and the heating just made it worse.

Turns out my car suffered from this fault, the hose was draining into the car, it filled up the back box of the heating which the when the car got warm and the heating kicked in it just steamed everything up, to add to this as the box filled up it over spilled leaving my floor and sound proofing on the passenger side soaked. Several components corroded behind the dash causing the car to stall unexpectedly (like right in the middle of a busy junction!)

it went into Mercedes, they had the car for nearly 8 weeks, spent 11K basically rebuilding everything behind the dash and when I picked it up I got a three page double sided a4 doc with all the parts they had to changed.

oddly even after a full rebuild it still had the oddity where it tries to either freeze you to death or boil you right up until a few weeks ago when it had its second service and it’s been perfect since.

Does this issue also refer to custumors who bought a used A-class?
I've never been in a recall situation before, and does anyone know how MB handels these thing? I assume some have gotten an email with recall and i haven't. Does MB send to all customers at once?
So I checked my VIN number and the car is produced of 2018-04-25. There are no re-calls for my VIN: Technical measures and recalls

Should we in this current situation stop using A/C and maybe use the non A/C option.
