Thanks for the reply it was more the interior pics I was after - just wanted to know what most have gone for? I’ve Choosen red and black leather as a red car but think too much red? Hence the actual pictures not press pictures

 

hi, I chose black and grey to go with my red car. I liked the red/black but thought too much. The black with red stripes not an option on A45, just black and yellow.

I don’t have the aero so leather was not an option but I called the dealer and have black with red piping and black seatbelts.
This was not an option on the site. So if you have a dealer you can talk to at the moment you might do that to see what else is on offer.

 

thanks this is great news - I will - as on the website it said "Special Edition" I thought I would check that however seeing the red on website - I thought again it might be too much. - hence wanting "real photos"

Sorry, no photos as car is not yet delivered but you can get a pretty good idea on the configurator. I did go and look at a couple of demo cars, white, black, blue grey etc, all had varying seat choices. I actually wanted the black red piping, but not an option on the plus so went for black/grey which I have on my E coupe. You can see a couple of cars on utube that have the red door cards.

I have a good idea why and my correspondence with MB UK pretty much confirmed it. They were concerned if we left the EU on WTO terms and had tariffs applied to the vehicles and a lot of cancellations then they could more easily dispose of the vehicles or make a corporate decision on subsidising the cost of a fairly standard product.

Even South Africa, I haven't looked at Australia, with a site in english has full configuration of the options and you are not stuck with one or the other package. In my case it has cost MB a few thousand pounds as I would have bought the plus if they had taken the aero off.

 

You can't buy the A45, only the A45s and Plus in UK. On the plus, the only options are paint for £, and leather £0. Everything else is standard. Least that was what I found out. I was not able to get the red piped/black combo.

also just to confirm - A 45 S AMG 4MATIC+ (not A 45 S AMG 4MATIC+ Plus) if I chose this one (uk) I can't change the colour of the seats? I'm only given one option? the yellow seats.

so I either go for + Plus version to get additional colours within the seats or go just the + version and get yellow striped seats? sorry if this has been discussed already...

 

Mine is the A 45 S AMG 4MATIC+ . I went to the dealer who ordered it with the red piping and black seat belts.

 

Shame the website seems very weak at the moment

 

A45s you can choose red or yellow piping, or none I think. A45sPlus you get yellow piping or leather.

 

ok is there another Mercedes website - that can show better options? - as want to be one ahead of the dealer... thanks

 

I just checked the configurator, and the S just shows one seat now, black and yellow. that's different from when I was ordering mine.

I've got the standard seats with yellow trim and love it.
I have also set the ambient light to yellow which I think looks cool ...

I agree, that half leather half alcantara combo with the yellow highlights is the bomb ? Great choice!

 

 

 

That leather creasing is such a disappointment for a new car. M-B really need to get this sorted quickly.

I bet not, sat today on 31k km S3 2018 and everyting inside was perfect condition, no rattles no squicks from plasti, dashboard doors...just another level of high quality matching items

 

 

My wife's 2.5 years old A3 has done just under 21K miles and it's not up to A45s build quality. I have posted before it makes her A3 feel tinny whereas it was the sturdy one against my previous A45. And I understand the new A3 has taken a step back in build quality. From what we can tell I think the new BMW 1 series sets a high benchmark in this class now.

 

Maybe S3 and RS3 are made in different better way.
Yeah I read it too that new BMW outclasses MB and new Audi. Guess what new VW Golf, Seat Leon got under hood stick instead of hydraulic lift ( A3 and Octavia got this ). On the back new A3 got hard plastic on doors ( this panel below window )...what a shame
