Hi All
I upgraded the Nav screen to a 8" Naviplus item a little while ago and its great, now though I want to fit a reverse camera, unfortunately I cannot go down the OE route as my radio unit does not have a video in connector, thanks Mercedes!

I'll be ordering from Naviplus in Oz as I need their cables so I can connect the camera to the Nav screen, I do have 2 questions though:

1) The camera will need a 12v switched feed, can I just take a feed from the reverse light (as I have done with other camera retrofits) so the camera is only powered when reverse is selected or will this throw up a Canbus error? Alternatively anyone know an easy place to find a 12v switched feed.

2) How do I remove the plastic door threshold trim so I can run the cables front to rear and also theinterior tailgate trim so I can get the cable to the camera which will be mounted above the number plate.

Thanks in advance
Arron

Perfect, thanks for that, really appreciated.
Yes they say a 12v relay is required, so I'm guessing I just need to power up the camera, not sure though if its so:

(i)The Nav screen on seeing the power then shows the camera image.
(ii) If its literally topower the camerawhilst the ignition is on and the actual wiring harness picks up that reverse is selectedso changesthe image on its own.

Guess I'll find out when I get round to fitting, I'll be sure though to trial run before I remove any panels!

Thanks again
