Manual gearbox issue?

Unfortunately my first post isn't a good one. Wife got a a180 6 speed manual 2014 model a class a few days ago. Going up gears it's perfect. Coming back down 3rd gear doesn't seem right. Sometimes if you go 4th to 3rd it feels like it's coming out of 3rd and you get that awful grind noise now it isn't all the time and if you "push" it into 3rd it seems to be ok. There's only 33k on the car has warranty etc. Anyone else had any issues? Thanks.

hey gsmith, just a quick question i've been having similar issues with my a180 too. but only when going up gears especially from 1-2 it's sometimes really tricky to switch into the gears and there have been occasions where there's grinding noises too. what was the exact issue and was it a quick fix.

Just thought I'd bump this up turned out to be a gearbox rebuild.

Going to call my local MB dealer tomorrow before I get in touch with the dealer we bought it from seems to be ok for the wife but she tends to roll up to lights etc whereas I tend to drop gears seems to only be 3rd gear doing it.

Sounds like the gear linkages need adjusting, take it back to the dealer as it still under warranty
