Map provider update - google

The MB app was updated today with Google Maps which it is claimed will give a smarter navigation experience, enhanced location search and interactive maps.

Is there also an update for the car itself/maps? I don't pay for Live anymore so I can't see if there have been any updates.

I don't think so. I checked on the portal and there as no satnav update available.
