New question:- Does anyone have the Mercedes.Me App and been able to open / close the windows, from your phone?
Now that I have my Mercedes.Me Portal windows working I don't understand why I can't operate them from my phone.
I can lock and unlock my doors from my phone so why not the windows?

As with most of Mercedes Options this might be country specific, I can only tell you about my UK experience.
We have been talking about the Mercedes.me Portal, the online web page not the App.

I paid £29 for a one year package under the heading of "Comfort" called "Vehicle Setup". In the UK it includes 7 services.

I purchased the £29 option in January which allows me to check the fuel etc and lock and unlock the doors but no windows or sunroof.

I'll log a call with Mercedes Me to enquire why.

It seems the app doesn’t share the same functionality as the portal. On the portal you can lock/unlock car, close/open sunroof and windows, when on the app you can only lock/unlock car.

I have just been in the Mercedes.Me Store and it not only says the App will operate the windows there is a picture / drawing showing a phone with the same buttons / graphics as the web based version.

As far as I'm aware this option isnt available in the UK as someone has already suggested. However I'd like to be wrong as I'm waiting for delivery of my new prem plus so I'll keep an eye on this thread.

Late July 2019 build A-Class in Greece and also purchased the Vehicle Setup for 39 Euros (yearly)


4/7 Services only working in Greece



The following DONT:


* Notification by smartphone in case of damage, theft or if the vehicle is towed away

* Open and close windows and sliding sunroof by remote control.


I contacted mercedes_me via email by no one responded to my email a week ago!

As I said above.
If the App and the portal can lock and unlock the doors.
The Portal can open and shut the windows it seems strange that they don't have the App doing the windows.
@DawnDarren1 says "As far as I'm aware this option isn't available in the UK" What Why Where When makes you think that? the Portal works in the UK.
I am hoping @frazpro got an answer, or now @amg does.

It looks like a safety thing to me... if you do close the door remotely there is no risk, but if there is someone that has the head through sunroof or through the door or has the hand on the door, activating them could cause injuries.

It says on the app when you purchase that sunroof closing wont work in UK. I purchased the pack on the app and because I'm moving into a prem plus soon I took notice of the exclusions. However that said the app may know my current car does not have pan? But I've seen lots of contradictions on the mbux system. Some cars have functions and some dont etc because of Build codes. Best way to be sure is call mercedes Me. I found them really helpful and knowledgeable every time I've contacted them.

I have now found the following info on a UK Mercedes.me Store site so I admit it is not included in the UK.

5 of 7 services available
Due to the hardware installed ex factory the following services are not available:

Auxiliary heating/ventilation
Remote Window Control

But I do not believe it is a lack of hardware, as I said in my first post, if the portal can do it over the air why can't the App?

Hmm I didn’t think that (sunroof) was enabled for EUmarket, even in the portal :surprise:

But yes, in general, there are more features in the portal that aren’t available in the app.
I have both buttons/icons (App & Portal) on my phone home screen for that very reason.

Perhaps when I said anywhere in the world I was getting carried away, sorry.
I was thinking from a point of view that I can do it from my computer in the UK, over the internet, to my car that is in the Uk.
I have not tested my theory from or to any other countries, I was assuming my login would give me the same functions wherever I am.
I am taking my car with us from England to Spain in November so I will be able to test the option then.

Got a reply from Mercedes Customer Dpt that Mercedes Me services in Greece will aligned with European ones, TILL end of 2020 (probably)!!!!!
