The armrest connections now provide Carplay
Excellent so we can wirelessly charge and have another three phones connect to CarPlay. I have noticed there is a port in the back of the front armrest for rear seat passengers. I'll have to see is that too does CarPlay.

Just a thought, does the NFC setting have to be enabled as well to activate the warning on the wireless charging pad? Could you check on your settings please Forrester.
Just tried my wife's iphone and that only works when wired charging as well. Should it definitely also give the warning when on the wireless charging pad?

My wife's car and she's out in it at present. Will check settings when I can get the car. It's a real pain that I can't check on MMe.

This is what her car shows. There isn’t any option to refine it.

Yes I have identical settings. And your wife's car definitely reads out the Don't forget warning when phone is left on wireless charger? Just want to be certain when I call in to my local dealership at some point.
Thanks for all your efforts, much appreciated.

Yes it does. Just going back to the phone case point near the start of this thread. While I have a case its quite thin. Do you have a wallet type case which might affect the phone being detected properly.

No It's a thin gel case, and it charges okay. I have even tried it out of the case, as I did with my wife's phone. It just seems so very odd doesn't it.
I will toggle the setting off, leave it overnight and re-enable tomorrow and test. Can't think what else I could do.

So I unpaired the iphone, Fully rebooted the iphone then set up again in the car. At first no change, then it worked 2 or 3 times, so I was delighted. Then stopped again. Very bizzarre! Only consistant when charging by cable, so I'm out of ideas now

Other than making sure you have the latest IOS, there was an update last night to fix bugs from the bigger update a few days ago. I would then book it in.

Yes always update to latest IOS so I know that's good. And tried3 different iPhone now so seems likely to be a car issue. I noticed that when using a cable, the charging continues for a short time after turning off the ignition, but on the wireless charging pad, it turns off as soon as ignition is turned off. Thanks for all your help.

Quick update.
After a software module update at the dealership, it is now working correctly

Hi , I have gone through the discussions about wireless phone charging not working . When placed on the pad starts for 30 seconds and then goes off saying obstruction or object in way .
Other discussions is where is it, does it come with it ext
Has anyone one got an actual fix . I have a Aclass 250e premium Plus .
I just plug my phone in. The phone invariably moves off the charging mat otherwise. In terms of your phone not charging beyond a short period. Is it in a case. My wife’s phone case is too thick to allow mat charging for example.
