You may be right as I took my back box off and drove it around to see what it was like and there was no EML on when we did this.

@joni, if I understand correctly from the thread you have an MG downpipe and stock back box, right? Did the EML ever come back after you’ve connected the rear sensor properly?

the EML comes on intermittently and either goes off by itself or when I clear the fault code

Sorry been offline for a while. EML didn’t appear for close to two months then appeared but I just cleared it. Been about two weeks and its not come on. Haven’t had the car remapped yet - still in two minds. Sounds awesome though the exhaust has gotten louder.

It gets better but this is not it. I read the whole topic from the first page and I don't know anymore. Of course, I want to keep the guarantee.
Does anyone know about a new method that will leave a warranty and at the same time increase the volume of the exhaust without errors in the ECU?

Get a 200 cell sportscat from MG and you shouldn’t have any errors. The 100 cell sportscat may not satisfy the requirements of the ECU. Go 200 cell to be safe. I have 100 cell and would’ve gone for 200 cell in hindsight.

I cannot send you all a video yet of my A45S because it still at service (3weeks!) waiting fir solution😒 the gearbox blocked after a gear recalibration. AMG plant suggests to replace some part ... waiting for it 😳.

Can’t believe it. Less than 1100 miles and found a f... nail in one of the rear tyres and the tyre shop can’t repair it. I‘ve been to see them with the car. A new tyre on order for Monday replacement. I was going to go cruising in it at the weekend under our more relaxed lockdown rules.

Just a nail magnet and I don’t really want anyone else fiddling with my car when they go to change tyres.

A45S reg: ***70AMG

Same problem: Screw in front n'side tyre on a Friday at 1900 miles : No spare and local Merc dealer had no 19" pilotsports my size in stock so recovery truck and 3 days off road for repair. Upside: Merc dealer arranged FREE courtesy car for 3 days through Europcar:

ECU upgrade issue: tempting but don't, at least not until warranty expires. Mercedes WILL invalidate engine warranty if you get problems: Emailed Mercedes UK Milton Keynes and their line is that an ECU upgrade fundamentally changes engine dynamics and therefore they will not be held responsible if ANY part of engine itself malfunctions. PERIOD. You could argue your case in court against them but you would lose.. Is it worth risking a £57k + car for just a few extra horses which in all probability you will hardly ever be able to use to its full extent. After 3 years.. do what you like...

I have the Akrapovic downpipe and catback installed.

Taken using a GoPro Hero 9 with the media mod casing and noise suppressor microphone cover, and the video was recorded with the car driven below 100 km/h and entirely on partial throttle below 4000 RPM.

Might have to listen to the in-car video with earphones for a more accurate sound.
