Interesting lineup and good race. Happy to see my all-time favorite roadster and one of my favorite sports cars take the win, but the M2 has gone a long way to be able to put up a fight, and it's the regular M2, so props to BMW. I've already gone into its tuning potential which is mind-boggling. But the GT4 RS was love at first sight and I wouldn't mind it being NA, making it incredibly expensive to modify.

The Golf R looked slow in this lineup, which was expected, but the fact it can be tuned to 450 hp and nearly 600 nm with an intake and exhaust makes it a huge bang for your buck, even more so with the unlimited tuning options from stock to hybrid and big turbo setups at a reasonable cost. The EA888 Gen 4 is perfect for the tuning enthusiast, as if Gen 3 wasn't incredibly potent already (talking from experience). But it needs a tune at the very least.

The RS3 vs A45s drag was once again down to reaction time, as both times the Audi walked away the A45s was just a tad slower off the line, but was clearly reeling in the RS3. When they launched simultaneously, the A45s won and kept creeping away. Furthermore, on the rolling races the Merc was notably stronger up top, even though I think the difference isn't that big, so the RS3 driver must've been a little late, but never kept up (while the A45s was reeling it in after its late start). To sum up, the RS3 has the advantage down low, but the A45s has better top end, as we've also seen on previous videos. Of course the tuning advantage here goes to Audi and let's be honest, who would keep their RS3 stock? But plenty of A45s owners will.

PS: Gotta laugh at the ignorance in the comments section. Somebody even said that the A45s is tuned because it doesn't have a soft limiter. With a 12.3 1/4 mile lol.

Golf R is a bargain in the real world. For UK pricing VW discount it to £40K and should make it the list price. It would fly out of the showrooms. As it would come in below the “luxury” car tax bracket.

Golf R's are dipping into the 9's here. As a base for modding - incredible value. M2 still has a manual option and that 6 cylindee has so much potential. RS3 tuning is a thing now. A45s is the nicest cabin to be in.
I dont know, the M2 kind of made the GT4 RS look ordinary, we allready know its impractical. I would prefer a basic 911...

With a/any significant power and torque hike many of us will be looking at it but I’m sure it will come with a ridiculous price and minuscule production run.

More information on the RS run out addition. Including potential price.

Good for 6-7k premium, for 20k I'll have a BT build and the calipers painted yellow. And I'm all for special editions btw. But back in the day they came with real value, such as in the case of the ED30 GTI, where you got a beefier engine (strengthened internals), bigger turbo, bigger and more special wheels, deeper front splitter, more pronounced rear valance, all painted, making the 30hp bump the last on your list for an extra 5k. Compare that to today's deals. If it's going to be 20k for a few aero bits, calipers painted blue and some power bump, which is supposedly going to be significant so let's say what, 50hp?, out of a motor that can easily and 100% reliably handle twice as much, I mean, run people!!

£80K+ fine if the M2 x-drive and the A45s, at £60K, didn't exist.

Rather like the new MB CLA. About £20K over priced.

Price is ridiculous for the RS3, even this special edition, and here I thought the A45s was overpriced. If that's the case, I agree with the journalist it'll go out with a bang alright, but price included, just not sure how much of a bang you're gonna make when the salesman says "and that will be £82,000 sir", before extras. Best be prepared from the night before, talk to yourself say "first thing in the morning I'm going to dump some money because I just don't want it anymore".
