New map-update is available - Not sure what version it is as of now and can be downloaded through mercedes me portal.

 

My apps expire 15/4/23. While I will renew, it'll be interesting to see if the updates auto download so close to my time being up 🤷‍♂️

I would use a pen drive that has nothing else on it. I've never had one fail using that method, and I've probably done five or six since I've had the car.

 

It's a map update. So I'd guess it's roads and suchlike

 

Just to report that Mercedes Me reported this morning that all maps were up to date. Checked in the car and the sat nav info shows the latest version is installed. Many thanks for the help!

 

Maps updated to 2021 v.15.0 v330.

Automatice OTA update came through, plus updated the remainder via USB-C stick.

 

As I suspected.

The same happened to me last year when I updated manually via USB.

The MMe app never reflected the correct version of map in the car.

I complained to M-B who said they fixed the bug, but obviously not.

I’ll wait for the in car OTA update.

Had the email this morning and the update downloaded over the air this afternoon whilst driving. 👍

 

Well I think I managed it, took about 45mins to download and upload to my car.

It gets the update through its built in communications module, and the e-sim. But you need good LTE reception for that to be successful, and it takes a long time, understandably.

Just do it via USB manual download.

 

Yes, you need to remove older map versions from the drive before downloading the new version.
I also received the email shorty after download. I suspect that any activity on your account, including downloading maps - generates the email.

 

i had to do the same as the upload manager needs a blank drive, but once loaded you can put the POIs and music back on.

 

So, weird. Yesterday I did the following:

1) downloaded the update to an empty SD card in my PC (which is annoying because a) it won't let you download to the hard drive, and b) no reason why it makes you download to an empty drive, so I had to move all the stuff off of it temporarily)
2) I only have one USB thumb drive, which has all of my music, and the speed cameras, so I didn't want to empty it. Instead, I copied over the downloaded files from the SD card to the USB drive
3) The car recognised that the update files were available. First time it got to 37%, then after a long pause, popped up an error message that the update had failed. I tried again and it got to 1%, long pause, pop-up message, tried again, got to 2% then same thing, and two more times, same thing.
4) After doing absolutely nothing (the car was parked overnight), I tried again today, and it worked! It took a while, with a very long pause at 39%, but this time it continued on to completion.

 

Version 330 is available to download and can be done through Mercedes Me Portal. Enjoy.

 

The MMe notifications must be coming through west to east geographically as mine is not showing on the app yet 😟

 

I think the Plus Pack models get theirs first 😂

I received the email from Mercedes on Monday but nothing in car or on App yet.

 

Order has been restored to my satnav with it now fully updated.

Yup, version 370 as of Feb 2022 is out. I haven’t downloaded it yet and probably do it this weekend.
