Looking at the Mercedes Me Portal, it appears I have had two OTA updates installed to the infotainment system in the last few weeks - see below. No idea what was updated, I can't see anything different, but since a few days the system appears to have forgotten my home location. I use this a lot on the navigation system, and typically I would say "Hey Mercedes, drive me home", it would give me two options (no idea where it was pulling them from) and it would navigate home. But since a few days it insists no home location has been set, while it certainly has, and it also does the predictive "silent" navigation to the some location.

Anyone else had this issue?

Updated from 080 to 081 today. Don’t know if it is a coincidence but shortly after I lost access to the satnav.
Fortunately it came back after I parked up, locked the car up and came back to it about 10 minutes later. Hopefully that will be the end of it.
With regards to the update, I can’t see any difference between 080 and 081.

I have a 2018 model and the recent mbux infotainment update has just installed. Where is the system information section in system as I don’t appear to have this? There are 13 options starting with styles & display, controls, linguatronic, etc but no system information. Maybe I’m looking in wrong area but I’ve looked in most places.

Finally got the 081 update today. Not sure if anyone else noticed, but this fixed the "Hey Mercedes" recognition problem. When I got the original FUP3 ver. 80 update last year it would only respond to "OK Mercedes" and that very erratically. Sometimes I had to shout, sometimes it would never respond. It seems that now is as it should have been.

Even limited to erratic response of "OK Mercedes", it might be better than it was with FUP2, where it responded to simply "Mercedes". Very annoying when the car was new, and conversations while driving included many mentions of the brand. My update went straight from FUP2 to 081, so I didn't experience the erratic response. But, man, simply "Mercedes" was fing annoying.

My MBUX system updated last week. Since it happened I've suffered all sorts of oddities with the media system. It kept the presets, but I had to go back into settings so that swiping the top of the touch pad moves between presets, not just to the next station. Why can't the main display remember this setting too btw?

But now the radio reception is failing. After the update it seemed better, with the logos appearing on most of the stations whereas previously Heart 70s just showed the default image. But today all the global stations on 222.1mhz like heart and smooth just cut out.
I'm in Hertfordshire and can't see an issue with the transmitters.

Any ideas?

From which version number to which version number?

Just searching the web and found that I had this exact issue two years ago!

So either the car has a fault or the transmitter does. It must have fixed itself though because I've been listening to them constantly since

Good Christmas Day question!
I have seen on a German site that a mobile phone can be used for an internet connection but that was the only thing mentioned. Perhaps someone in the UK who has downloaded over-the-air 19 Dec 2022 MBUX update can provide details of the changes, software version, etc?

Thank you.

I just let my updates happen as and when and by the dealership as appropriate. I haven’t had any problems to date, fingers crossed.

Hi, I own a 2019 A200 and it originally came with FUP1 and has never been updated.

My dealer states that they can update it but that it would cost me €350 to do so (I’m also out of warranty).

What are the key differences between FUP1 and the latest update? And is it actually worth the money?

It's up to you. You don't miss what you don't know.

For example, later updates give you Amazon Music & Tidal.

MB update around twice a year in the UK. April was my last one. I guess it's your region's turn now. Which would also seem to be twice a year.

Nothing on MM, I was in the car about an hour ago and saw it had started downloading but didn't note any version info, just (from memory) 0.8MB of 4.5MB. Not convenient to check again at the moment.

Previous infotainment updates were two on 8th May this year and two Comms updates on 5th May this year and 25th June 2021.
