Some recent builds haven't got AR and it will be retro fitted. Where this has happened they have been told in advance before accepting the car and often have had to sign a temporary waiver. Did your dealer mention this or at least is it in your order paperwork.

Have a look on Wish.com. It's a Chinese company which flys your orders over to the UK, so takes a couple of weeks to receive items.

Hi All,

I let my girlfriend take my A250e to her work because of fuel shortages in the UK and she has done "some damage" to the door:

I'm not sure if there's any urgent thing I need to do right now. I was thinking of popping by the dealer tomorrow first thing and ask for a quote to see if it is much more than the excess I have with my insurer.

Anyone here experienced with making these types of claims?
Yes. Some low life left a small dent in my original A45 passenger door.

I went to a repair garage and they quoted me something like double my excess which was around £850. I contacted Aviva and went through them and as it turns out the same garage is a part of the Aviva network. I lost 30% of my NCD but the repair was perfect and done in a week and I had some very slow courtesy car while they did it and got a couple of alloys refurbished while the car was there.

You will need a door, hopefully just the skin, and rear panel. Mine needed just a door skin. If you want it to look perfect you are probably looking at over £2K.

I had my car home delivered so getting the handover talk through this video just 21 months late ;)

Forgive the random question but does anyone know if an average rocking chair would fit in an A200 with the back seats down please??
Thanks in advance
Out of interest did the rocking chair fit. My elderly mother has a wheeled walking frame which fits and easily fits if I lower the height.

I really hope so....fingers crossed.
Did you sort this out.

My wife's A3 the interior lights didn't work and what I would have thought would be a straight forward fix, took weeks. They had to order a module for it in the end.

Thank you!
I'm looking to upgrade my iPhone to bring myself in to 2022. Which phone do you have which offers wireless charging. I can't see against the iPhone 13 or 2022 SE that it says explicitly it has wireless charging.

Thank you. Very useful information.

Hi, Its a used approved car, and states that its fitted in the options list the dealer gave me. I have tried using a USB C lightning cable in the correct port and nothing. Also in the Mercedes ME app it says the smart phone integration is available to buy. I guess the dealer will have to pay for it as this was one of the things that attracted us to this car.
You can email MB off their site with your vin number to check if it has CarPlay. They usually get back within a day or two.

So I have the graphic but not the Distronic function> great haha I don't have the distronic controls on my steering wheel.
You're not alone. Most of us could not spec the distronic even if we wanted to. Or many other options as it was all or nothing menus.

Thanks for reply mate, well seems as though not worth it then 😂. Want the remote access as well but liked the idea of heating the car prior to leaving work in the winter to get the ice of windscreen but that looks as though it cant be used on the A45s 🙈
The pre-heat is not available on the non-hybrid A-Classes.

Yeah thought that was the case, do you know if there is anything else that doesn’t work from the remote pack?, cheers mate
I’ve found most things work remotely. It’s slightly disconcerting getting notifications about the car when it’s in for a service.

Hi No replies yet, however You may realise I am reasonably familiar with mechanical things.Or should be. I am fairly certain there are two cross head screws that hold the lamp unit and removing these it will come forward and out! With the unit out I assume it’s obvious. I have time this weekend to explore and will report back. Peter
I thought you had found what you needed to from @veeeight post.

OK! I guest that is why this thread is called Newbie - Sorry.

Just to close it all Off.

When I got around to putting my full attention to it. Yes the indicator is an LED and seems part of the unit. I was wrong, viewed from the outside it looked as if it could have been a bulb but not. Solution - Fix appeared to be the multi-pin connector on the back after a few removals and replacements the problem has gone away and it seems stable. Tapping shaking and pulling the cable harness does not bring the problem back.

As we used to say in the Boy Scouts JOB DONE !

Peter
Good to know you got to the bottom of this.

Hi peeps, picked up my A200 (69) on Tuesday, loving the car so far. Got a few questions for ya tho!

1 My rear washer jet is not spraying out any water, and I noticed today that when I attempt to use it the drivers far left nozzle bubbles a bit, I’m thinking either blocked jet or maybe a little too up

2 My stop start has not worked since I picked the car up. My battery voltage on mbux reads at 14.9 and is showing partially charged in the app. So do you think I need a new battery?
The washer jet may need the garage to blow air through it. It happens to my wife's A3 rear wiper all the time.

In winter my start/stop takes forever to start working. You'll see it will work much sooner once the temperatures rise.

Okay do a forum search under washer jets. There are a number of alternative ways members have flagged they went wrong, and fixes for them.

So behind the trim on drivers side is absolutely soaking and I need a new pipe as the old one has come away. And they are going to dehumidify the car over the weekend. A bit costly but at least it will stop the water from leaking
Good news that it’s resolved.

Hi, w177 a180 owner here, recently I notice that when switching off the engine, the dashboard and radio does not shut down, even when I open the door, left the vehicle the system is still on. Until I locked the vehicle, then the dashboard and all shuts down. Didn’t notice this behavior earlier but is this normal?
Welcome to the forum.

My music/radio shuts down as soon as I open the door. I haven't really noticed about other instruments, but I think they also shut down. Take a look in the settings to see if there are different shut down options.

Just checked. My vehicle system also shuts down with just the MB logo on.
