Hi guys,

I have a Jap import with mbux ntg6 but I am unable to change the region as the internet is not working..I clicked manually adjust time but only limited to 1 hour. Refer to pictures.

What can I do in this situation? It's a 2020 A35

Thanks in advance.

Just wondering if someone did the same or similar to share experiences.
I relocated my car from the Middle East / Africa region to Europe. I knew my satnav map wouldn't cover the new region but sadly enough after contacting the dealership in Europe they mentioned that they are not sure if they can install a European map. Keeping fingers crossed till I can bring it in for a try to update it.
Secondly a bit surprised, the Mercedes-me function doesn't work anymore in Europe.. so probably the SIM coverage is limited to the region too :(

Did someone else here have the same experience?

And for the rest don't try to drive to far from home, you might get disconnected :ROFLMAO:

I can only download map updates of countries in the region where the car is from not a new region. I would expect that you should be able to download a full new region even if it would be against a fee to use it.

Besides that the complete Mercedes me doesn't work. It can't connect to the Mercedes-me assist if you push the call button and the app doesn't update the car status. Seems like the complete connectivity with the network is not there.

Talk to EleBest Singapore. They can activate the Singapore maps for you, among many other software options that you might not have specified yet (e.g. Augmented Reality, Active Lane Change Assist, Activate Dashcam, Wireless CarPlay, upgrade to FU3 Software). There are fees for this of course too.

You need specialist OBD tools and MB factory software such DTS Monaco or Vediamo. Alternatively you can try a coding dongle

Or contact someone who can do the coding for you. They can often do this remotely.

Do let us know what this telechat group is. Is it purely set up for Singapore. Alternatively you can internet dial MB through devices such as Alexa

Log in to Mercedes me portal on computer browser, a compatible one! Look for the map update downloads. Follow the instructions and download the region you want or download them all. Take the USB pen used, go to the car and follow the instructions. If you choose a region, if you're still under the grace period for auto updates, of you have the service subscribed, after updating for a specific region the car will from then on update itself. If you download all the regions any subsequent updates will have to be done manually following the same procedure.

I would press the SOS button on the roof console and ask MB directly Please let us know what they say.

Hi,

I’ve recently purchased an A180 imported from Japan to Ireland.

It wasn’t until after I had bought the car that I realised the time and date is locked to utc and cannot be changed, my sat nav is locked to Asia, Apple CarPlay is deactivated (judging by the license activation info), the traffic sign assist function will not work and the car also asks for an ETC card every time I start the car up.

Is it possible to change the head unit software from Asia to Europe. Or is there any other possible way around these problems I’m having ? Any info would be much appreciated as there’s little to no answers online.

much appreciated,
Con182.
