Yeah check page 2 of this thread. Let me know what u think. Also the valve doesn’t stay open when revving at idle so the sound vids aren’t great.
Ah! Sorry, I hadn't clicked on that those vids were from you!

You'll have to get some vids of the car on the move. I've come to accept they sound their worst in neutral haha.

Couple of things that might interest you:

1. The IPE video features a car WITH a decat fitted. Which is part of the reason it sounds so amazing.
2. I took delivery of the ASR valve controller yesterday and it does seem to be able to override the OEM valve closing at idle. I'll get some videos of it tomorrow for everyone!

Also im thinking of ordering the MG Motorsports sports cat. They manage to avoid warning lights because they emulate the right pressure on the sensor at the back of the exhaust. Do you think my catback exhaust will affect the pressure emulated? They are just going to post the sports cat but usually they test it on the car to make sure it works.

Nicee love what you did with the kitchen roll 😂 how easy was the ASR controller to install? I’m going to order one
Thanks! Simple is always better haha. Fitting isn't difficult really. Just run the wires parallel to the stock loom and up through their grommet in the boot floor. Its about a 30 min job. If you have any issues hmu.

I don't think the catback makes much of difference as far as the EML is concerned. My understanding is that it's the sports cat element of aftermarket downpipes that tends to cause issues, not the OPF delete. The emissions sensors on the car expect very low values and most 200 cell cats aren't up the job. Supersprint do offer a sports cat/OPF delete able to keep the EML light off by using a really high quality core.

Also, how much did MG quote you if you don't mind me asking?

Resonated for road use. I only want a downpipe as I want to keep the car as OEM as possible. The downpipe has been on order for months! So I'll take the milltek off once the downpipe is fitted.
Do you have any videos of it in action?

Cool is this the one you ordered?

Miltek have one of these as well but I don’t see a price.

Ahh I see and they quoted 889 eur plus DHL shipping cost (about 35 eur). Do you think thats a decent price?

They also said this:

“I see, ideally you would drive up to a garage of your choice to have the DP removed, send it to us, wait for its return and have it installed back. They need to be able to store the car for approx 2 weeks (includes modification time and shipping here and back - shipping in most part)”

It's getting one with the right connectors on which is the trick. The one you linked is the one I got.

I think that's a very fair price. Do they actually modify the stock downpipe?

Yes forgot to mention sorry they modifiy the stock DP so there is no way to tell visually or electronically.
It’s a perfect solution for me because I get everything I want without being forced to remap. And if I did remap, i can reset without any issues.

Oh that's interesting! Definitely a very stealthy solution (which is no bad thing).

Strange experience. Checked my air today. Behind me was a 911, didn't clock the year but non-turbo and not current gen. He'd just been in the petrol station shop taking up space at the airline. He came out and started revving his engine while I was doing my tyres. It didn't sound all that tuneful either just loud but I bit my tongue and didn't shout out anything like "have you got a small dick". What a prat.

While our A45s exhausts may have been muted at least our cars are full fat and can take out past gen 911s as well as carry the kids and the weekly shop.

I'm selling a 2020 A45S AMG W177 - Milltek Back-Box Exhaust GPF with Decat Downpipe if anyone wants it, RRP £1809 + £749 and open to reasonable offers.

The exhaust is loud and with a baby on the way I'm going back to standard otherwise I won't be able to drive the car at all.
