You can reset everything within your control on MBUX, factory reset, delete user data etc.

But the Me account will still be associated with you and your car, only the dealer can do the association for the new owner.

On previous vehicles that I’ve associated my Me account with (including work vehicles) - I’ve watched the car on my Me app being driven to the new owners houses and their places of work etc. Even though I removed all traces of me from the vehicle.

You select that mode in order to move the map around. If you select back it will disappear and return to the default view.

I'm sorry but I've searched all over this forum and cant find an easy way to navigate it, probably not helped because i dont understand the references to numbers i dont recognise like W175 or W177 or whatever ,i cant find me previous posts either , so i expect its been answered many times but here goes a couple of questions :

firstly i dont know what number thing my car is so cant follow the references on here ,its a A180 AMG LINE EXEC AUTO on a 21 plate

1.how do i remove a previous owner /reset the owner aspect on start up as i still have a previous owner on my screen ,the screen rapidly disappears so i cant figure out how to get back to it to see if i can delete

2.i can get my phone through the car no problems ,but if i want carplay i have to plug my phone in, id rather not ,what am i doing wrong please ?

3. my car always starts up in C=comfort mode ,i want it to start up in E =eco mode, how do i set this ?

Find MBUX Reset in Settings, and reset the MBUX.

If Mercedes Me is still associated with the previous owner, go to the M-B dealer with your V5 and ask them to register Mercedes Me to you.

21 plate does not have wireless CarPlay.
Only wired (cabled) CarPlay.

You can’t.

I would delete everything, reset the system. Create your profile/user, then everything is reset and like a new car.

You can also go in and delete profiles so yours is the only one left.
It's strange her profile is there because this should have been deleted when the car was transferred to you as a user.

i cant even find where it lists users ?

Welcome to the forum.

The default is C. On my wife's A200 I just press the dynamic button and it goes automatically to E. Not much you can do about the way it starts.

In my wife's A200 in terms of economy I'm not sure how the eco is more economical as it seems to leave the engine on most the time when I would have thought it should be in sailing mode. My wife complains about the overall economy of the car compared to her previous A3 2017 150ps manual. I think the fuel tank size of the A Class is smaller hence it gives the perception of being less economical. Overall, it seems alright in terms of economy but nothing spectacular in eco or C.

When I start my W177 A180d and then again when I switch engine off there are a load of noises from the dash, sounds like motors/gears moving and creaking (bit strange), possibly internal vents, is that normal ?

Yes 👌
If you only press the start button (2 times) without stepping on the brake, you can better hear the sounds.
It's just your aircon etc. starting up.

When I go for my paper in the morning, I start the car up, the Engine coolant warning light comes on
So I drive to the shop about 5 minutes away, get my paper, back to the car, start up again the warning light goes out
I've checked the coolant level in the reservoir no problems.
Never have this problem before.
Am I going to do any damage for driving with these conditions?
(Does this light indicate low temperature as well?)
Any ideas anyone
