According to rumors Apple, plans to launch a high-end iPhone without a Lightning connector in the second half of 2021!
I am wonder what will happen with CARPLAY on A-CLASS W177 since it is only working via Lightning interface.

To Apple "Progress" means removing usefulness from their products. To answer your question, anyone who intends to buy this 'upgrade' can expect a downgrade on its functionality & to be honest more fool them.

I’m trying to do that but I get this message (No services are currently available for ordering in your vehicle) in the Mercedes Me Portal. No option to buy Car Play. I definitely have the Fresh Up 2 update as I can see the software version in the system menu on my Mbux - apilevel/ntg6_fup2/063.

Anyone else had an issue getting Car Play after having FUP2 installed?

I would recommend calling Mercedes on the number thats available through the Me app. They're really friendly & helpful. I had a problem getting set up on the day I got the car & they sorted it in 5 minutes.

Not true. If your car is updated to Fresh Up 1 or 2 you can buy it in the Me Store.

Mine is from June 2018 and it works.

How did you get it?
I can see the store on my Mbux after getting the free FU2 update today but I just see a message saying I have all available services and no information about CarPlay. Did you have to wait 24 hours after getting the FU2 update as someone has suggested?

You need to go to the Mercedes Me Portal on your phone or computer's web browser & give Mercedes £260. It's a permanent feature once purchased.
