According to rumors Apple, plans to launch a high-end iPhone without a Lightning connector in the second half of 2021!
I am wonder what will happen with CARPLAY on A-CLASS W177 since it is only working via Lightning interface.

To Apple "Progress" means removing usefulness from their products. To answer your question, anyone who intends to buy this 'upgrade' can expect a downgrade on its functionality & to be honest more fool them.

What I am worried about is that if APPLE removes Lightning (as they previously removed 3.5 headphone jack boosting the Bluetooth connectivity) then the CARPLAY will have to move to WIRELESS and as far as I know MBUX in A-CLASS features only Wired Carplay! Can the current MBUX support wireless or will be obsolete for new iphones is 18 months if this is true?
