My days with MB are counted. I simply cannot believe i paid over 25k for this car and i can`t have AppleCarPlay.

My car is from A200 June 18 model and all systems have been updated last week. Now that i got FU2 still don`t have the option to purchase the service.What a joke.

I got the following message: "Smartphone Integration is unfortunately not available for your A 200 AMG Line vehicle due to the hardware installed ex factory."

Now for all of you A class owners imagine you got a phone holder sicked on your windshield . Does it look good? Your visibility drops? Yes it will.

You shouldn’t have paid 25k for that car unless it was brand new, it’s now a standard feature on all cars with the executive package.

You can’t get that pack but with fu2 you should still be able to get ACP. Look in the portal ??

Maybe a stupid question, but are you sure that you have FU2? Like do you have the shop/store icon in the MBUX system?

Cause atm every car that we have updated to at least FU1 supports the retrofit of Apple CarPlay.

This is just my view, but I have no Apple CarPlay and neither do I have my phone stuck to the windscreen / dashboard. With the phone in my pocket, connected via Bluetooth, I can operate all calling functions direct from MBUX and the steering wheel. I am happy with the MB satnav, and don’t like to text/write/read emails while driving.
What it also does brilliantly, which I never had on any car, is connect two phone via Bluetooth at once.
The only thing it doesn’t do, which is annoying, is change playlist when connected on Bluetooth. I need to get my phone out to do that.

i took it with 3K on clock and is premium package.Was worth it at that time and never taught i will have an issue with this :/

i do have the Shop/Store icon in the syste. Update has been done last week but i don`t know which version.

you cannot change playlist but you can definitely change the song. I`m not happy with the satnav tbh.

also if connected via bluetooth to listen waze but you are listening music from USB does it stop and shows you as if you are in a call with yourself to tell you where to go?

every single time waze needs to say something, music stops and engage in a call ( with myself lol) and then speak the alert. super annoying especially before roundabouts.

I did the same. You have to buy the license via web portal. It should appear then.

Sorry I must have misread I thought you said the car as no options so it was a basic spec, call mercedes me and see if they can do anything

Super weird, did Merc change their specs?
Odd, what I would recommend you to do is the following;
- Try contacting Mercedes ME using their contact form or just press the ME button in your car (Its easy and way faster imo). And just tell them that you have problems activating ACP on your car. They will view you vehicles history and MBUX version and will quickly determine on what the problem is. If for whatever reason the car needs different software just make sure you get a courtesy car. (Mercedes ME will arrange a free one)

- If this doesn't help then I'm clueless and Mercedes might have just changed their specs on the A-class. Which makes no sense cause they are earning a full 300quick on each ACP purchase.

That does sound very annoying! I don’t use Waze or listen to music via USB so don’t have that issue ?and yes skipping to the next song is very easy via MBUX!

Assuming you have an iPhone, it allows you to get rid of the god awful MBUX and instead use Apple Maps/Google Maps/Waze, Spotify, Audiobooks, etc.

If installed you can choose whether to use it or not.

You can also use CarPlay and MBUX simultaneously for some things, ie radio from mbux and navigation from CarPlay.

Actually I don't find MBUX bad at all. My only disappointment is that TomTom is a much better nav sytem. You will say, I'm sure, use Wayz or equiv on Play. My car (and I don't know how "across the range" it is) slows down on it's own for roundabouts and turns even if I don't have a route planned, so it must pick up info from the inbuilt nav system. I like the novelty of that. But NO speed cam audible warnings

You must have the Driving Assistance Pack.

It’s pretty cool how it does that, I almost never have to touch the accelerator or brake for roundabouts and junctions!

The downside is that it leaves its braking a little later than I would and if there were a car on the junction would it stop? So covering and then just touching the brake drops it out. If I had Carplay would it still get the nav information it needsto do that I wonder?

I think its a joke it costs £299 ... would it be better to buy SKGT the SKGT09 -> 290 euro (Pricing) ?

Maybe you dont have the software installed (AAuto and Carplay) and any tool that flips switches might not work for you in this case.

Yeah it’s just the cost to enable it is so much, I have the car on a Mercades Agility ... so I don’t think I can modify it anyway..
